Here is a step by step instruction of how to mount your bait onto a Hair Rig.
Push the baiting needle through the bait ensuring you do not split the bait. Put the lip of the baiting needle through the loop on the hair rig.
Close the gate on the lip hook baiting needle and thread the bait onto the hair.
Put a bait stop through the loop and pull the rig down until it traps the stop at the bait.
This shows the bait stop correctly mounted and what the baited rig should look like.
Thread the tail rubber and lead (sinker) onto the main line and tie your knot onto the swivel of the rig. Push your tail rubber onto the lead and pull the swivel into the lead for a semi-fixed set-up. This will act as a bolt rig with the weight on the lead pulling the hook into the fish when he takes the bait. The final picture shows the complete set-up. The tapered sleeve and tail rubber help to prevent tangles on the cast.
